Our onsite custom heat treat chamber is designed by Nova Kiln for thermal pest eradication of wood pallets and other lumber products we offer. Heat is circulated throughout the chamber to raise the core temperature to 140 degrees for 35 minutes on these products to eliminate pest infestation and other common insects. We are certified by AWIS (American Wood Inspection Services).
These heat treated wood products are in compliance with International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15 (ISPM 15) of the International Plant Protection Conventions (IPPC). Once the heat treating process is finished, our wood products are stamped with an official IPPC stamp. They are then ready for pick up or delivery.
Our Heat Treating Kiln is a Nova Kiln with a heated floor system as well hot water recirculating fans with the capabilities of processing 616 standard 48×40 pallets which is our base line structure for pricing. We base our price for heat treating off volume of space that a pallet takes up in our kiln (total cubic inches), therefore the larger the pallet the more the cost and the smaller the pallet the less the cost.
To get an accurate estimate for heat treating cost we need to know the width, length and height of your pallets to be heat treated in inches as well as the total amount to be heat treat. Less than a full load will have to wait until the kiln has a full load capacity meet. Full loads will be processed in the order that they are received. If you need a small quantity done before the total kiln capacity is met there will be an upcharge in cost. There will be a discount for ongoing volume business less than our standard price.
